The day I sit on the window sill in a cozy wool sweater with a coffee mug sat atop a small plate snuggling closely with a book (or nook) is like a dream. a vivid dream resting in the piled up corner of my brain where the rest of my hopes and aspirated visions lie. Is it really that repulsing to sit and physical read a book for me? The answer is YES I feel like I'm in such complete torture when I am forced to read just one line at a time, forever left to wonder how the characters day goes tomorrow...honestly do I really care? NO! I have a busy life with many Frieda and social issues to worry about. I have a real life that need not to be escaped from...worms are gross, I do not see reason to be a gross worm infesting the bind of a novel. My life is a grand story as it is, why should I even want to escape it? I don't feel it necessary to sit and read when books are now things called "motion pictures" maybe that's just it, maybe because I am such a hands-on visual learner I mentally can't handle the large capacity of words a book has. Reading a new book usually goes like this...judges cover, takes off cover, reads summary, tweets that he's reading a new book, skips the prologue, reads first page with a smile, re-reads first page for any missed information, studies the information given already, gets bored of studying, puts book down. This same process happens all the. I once bought $125 worth of books and set them in my room just for the look of books in my room...we all knew I wasn't going to read them.. As a kid I was top in my class of a reader, the star of a child any parent would be enthralled to own. Of course this was in kindergarten and first grade, the only novels we read were about a family of bears living in the worlds greatest tree house! (20 Justin points to whomever can name that children's book series) My point being as a writer who wines to possibly make a career out of doing do, shouldn't I love the world a book takes me too!? I read online articles----I skim the majority of online articles all the time yet when it comes to reading a book I get bored by the first page...As a writer this habits needs to be broken, especially if I want to survive the rest of High school...becoming a junior this ear only means harder and long material...ha..harder and longer..giggity
