LONDON STATE OF MIND
The world is focused on the Olympics....I am focused on that beautiful freaking England! I am not one of those people who pretend I have loved something forever just because it's cool. My entire life I have had a fond love for the culture, fashion, people, and countryside nature of the English lands. It has always seemed like I could escape to another world by going to the other side of the pond.
The extreme joy of wearing sweaters and avoiding the rain on a daily basis is worth leaving America for a few months at least. I love the idea of living in or near a small village town, with cobblestone streets walked everyday by commoners. Being able to walk into the village market, buying the families food fresh from the farm everyday. Is it the dream of having a simple earthly life over there? or the sense of togetherness they have in the UK.
Let's be honest her we are obsessed with the Royal family, the culture, and people. The life of the British simply floor our expectations (It just started raining) On the TODAY show earlier this week they talked about why we are obsessed with everything England. As history has taught America was once a British colony, so perhaps we are obsessed with what we miss? What we once were?
Some views are on their humor, and originality in television and theater. Let's remember who birthed Shakespeare! It is unimaginable to think about the amount of historical landmarks and cultural richness they have.
My love really comes from the look England, Ireland and surround lands have. So much rain over there provides such a rich nature stance! The over growing vines, crawling peacefully up the brick house, bushes and trees that seem bigger than the small patched houses all pitch in to add vibrancy and the feeling of being one with nature.
All together my love for the natural feel England has, and the beautiful fashion/culture of their people add up to my fond liking of the habitat they provide. A calm, yet down right mad lifestyle is something I could get into govena! ;)
