Rant about TWIX

  If you watch tv you have found out that apparently MIKE & IKE are not on good grounds with each other. This is already old news in this considerably fast paced market. I am not blogging behind here I am just now blogging because I witnessed marketing at it's best just now. While working on this weeks "JUSTIN TIME TIPS" I saw the TWIX commercial showing a vintage remake of the LEFT TWIX, and RIGHT TWIX factories. Proclaiming they were in a feud since the 1800's...why I am hearing about this just now in 2012...well we are not suppose to think about that. I'm quite sure a company would not hide such a big feud. 0.0   
So apparently the LEFT & RIGHT TWIX made their products the same, but in two different neighboring factories and described with the same yet different adjectives. Why am I telling you this!?
Mainly because it exemplifies how boring big companies get. They wait for one company to get a big success at something and swoop right in and run the same tactics as them. Do they really think we don't notice!?!? If you were to place a child under the television (kinda like we do) for a day or so they would get the impression that copying others! Last I checked Plagiarism still exists!
Companies do this obviously because it's smart. They do what they know works...but still, let's be a bit more creative people.
